Update on Battle of Nesma and Fall of Night

Just a quick update.

Divergent Chill: Battle of Nesma (the 2nd edition version of Divergent Chill) is available in the Kindle store. I’m working with amazon right now, however, to let people who purchased the 1st edition to update to the 2nd edition. Also, the print version is going through the proofing process and may take a little time, but it’s on its way out.

Other than that, I’m doing the final edits and formatting on the sequel, Divergent Chill: Fall of Night. Assuming everything goes smoothly, I hope to have it out on Kindle, at least, sometime next week. The print version will follow later. And then I’m going to have a beer kind of like this one, because it was pretty good the last time I had it.

Concept Art!

I thought I’d share some of the concept art put together by David and Jerry of DrawnWorks, LLC for the new covers.

First, we have some Beriszl sketches. Getting the old Ragebourne right took a lot of back and forth with the artists, but I’m pleased with the results on the new cover for Divergent Chill: Battle of Nesma.

Next, we have an early, colored concept sketch of Chill in her armor from Divergent Chill: Battle of Nesma.

The next couple of sketches can be considered spoilers for the first book, Divergent Chill: Battle of Nesma. Don’t click if you don’t want hints as to what I have in store when the second book, Divergent Chill: Fall of Night, finally drops.
